Part 2: MAHA or NOT?

·

Yesterday we shared with you the retailers who test poorly for MAHA foods.
Today WISEcode is sharing the retailers that offer the most MAHA products.
As a reminder: while lots of people are throwing around the term MAHA, without a guide to help you it has no meaning for the foods you buy.
So, WISEcode looked at RFK Jr’s writings and speeches over the years and he has labelled 5 major categories of bad ingredients:
Ultra Processed foods;
Ingredients that harm humans, and are mostly banned in the EU and Asian countries – we call them WatchOuts;
Seed oils and replaced with health oils;
High fructose corn syrup from foods;
Artificial colors in foods.
In the universe of 650,000 US grocery foods (package), only about 50% pass the test for MAHA foods.

Congratulations to Erewhon in Southern California for leading the way, and it’s not surprising that WholeFoods is in second place. But come on Trader Joe’s - what’s up with you? You are below Kroger Marketplace and Walmart! Aren’t you supposed to be a leader, delivering trust in the foods you sell, because of high quality ingredients?
